古い蛍光灯器具にLED 発火のおそれ 適切な方法で交換を
家庭やオフィスなどで使われている蛍光灯は、2026年1月から2027年末にかけて国内での製造や輸出入が段階的に禁止されます。NITE＝製品評価技術基盤機構は、古い蛍光灯器具にLEDを取り付けて発火する事故が報告されているとして、適切な方法で交換するように注意を呼びかけています。
NITEによりますと、2025年12月までの10年間に、蛍光灯器具で劣化やLEDへの不適切な交換による発火などの事故が205件報告されています。
このうち器具の使用年数が推定できた133件の事故を調べたところ、9割が10年を超えて使用しているものだったということです。
蛍光灯をLEDに変える際には、器具はそのままで適合するLEDランプに交換する方法と、器具ごと交換する方法がありますが、古い器具では内蔵している電気部品が劣化しているおそれがあり、ランプだけをLEDに交換して発火した事故も起きているということです。
このため、NITEでは、蛍光灯器具について、使用年数が10年を超えている場合は、器具ごとLED照明への交換を検討することや、点灯時にちらつきや異音などの異常がある場合は、すぐに使用を中止するように注意を呼びかけています。
NITE製品安全広報課の安元隆博さんは、「ランプだけをLEDに交換すればずっと使えると考えているかもしれませんが、それは間違いです。改めて家庭や事業所にある蛍光灯器具は、カバーやその中にあるシールなどで使用年数をチェックしてほしい」と話していました。
