日本生命の米法人 オープンAIに賠償など求め提訴 米裁判所
大手生命保険の日本生命のアメリカ法人は、生成AIのChatGPTが保険金の元受給者に対して弁護士資格がないのに法的な支援などの法律業務を行ったことは違法だとして開発会社のオープンAIを相手取り、アメリカの裁判所に賠償などを求める訴えを起こしました。
日本生命のアメリカ法人が4日、アメリカ中西部イリノイ州の連邦地方裁判所に提出した訴状によりますと、傷害保険金の元受給者の女性が保険金をめぐる訴訟で日本生命側と和解したにもかかわらず、ChatGPTの法的な支援を受けて和解を破棄し、訴訟を繰り返したとしています。
このため、会社は、多大な時間や訴訟費用などがかかったとして、開発会社のオープンAIに対してChatGPTが弁護士資格がないのに法的な支援などの法律業務を行ったことは違法と認めることや、弁護士費用などの30万ドルと懲罰的な賠償として1000万ドル、日本円にして合わせておよそ16億円を支払うことなどを求めています。
