大相撲名古屋場所の三賞選考委員会が開かれ、優勝争いの単独トップに立つ関脇 安青錦が技能賞を、星の差1つで追う関脇 熱海富士が敢闘賞を受賞しました。

この中で、1場所での大関復帰を決めている安青錦が、左足にけがを抱えながらも白星を重ね、優勝争いで単独トップに立っていることが評価され、技能賞を受賞しました。安青錦が三賞を受賞するのは去年の九州場所以来4場所ぶりで、技能賞の受賞は4回目です。

また、熱海富士が、安青錦と星の差1つの3敗で千秋楽を迎え、優勝争いに加わっていることなどを評価され、4回目の敢闘賞を受賞しました。

そして、ここまでいずれも10勝4敗の琴栄峰、高安、藤凌駕、尊富士、獅司の平幕5人が千秋楽で勝てば敢闘賞を受賞することになりました。

このほか、殊勲賞は、序盤戦で2人の横綱を破った前頭筆頭の藤ノ川が千秋楽で勝って勝ち越しを決めれば受賞することになりました。
