サムスンは、Windows向けブラウザ「Samsung Browser for Windows」を正式リリースした。Windows 11およびWindows 10(バージョン1809以降)搭載デバイスで利用でき、モバイル端末とパソコンをまたいだシームレスな検索・閲覧が可能。 同ブラウザでは、スマートフォンやタブレットで閲覧していたWebページを、パソコンで中断した箇所からそのまま再開できる機能を備える。従来のブックマークや閲覧履歴の同期に加え、端末をまたいで同一ページを継続して閲覧できる点が特徴。 この機能の利用には最新バージョンのSamsungアカウントに加え、PC側に「Samsung Continuity Service」または「Galaxy Connect」アプリのインストールが必要で、現時点ではSamsung Galaxy Book 3、4、5、6シリーズで利用可能としている。対応機種は拡大予定。 Samsung Passとの連携にも対応し、ログイン情報や住所、カード情報などの個人情報を安全に保存し、自動入力できる。対応機能は国・地域や法的環境によって異なる。 あわせて、Perplexityとの提携により、ブラウザ内に新たなAIアシスタントを導入する。自然言語による検索に対応するほか、閲覧中のページ内容や複数タブの文脈を理解し、情報の比較や要約、履歴検索を行なえる。動画コンテンツでは、目的の場面を検索してその位置から再生を開始する機能も備える。 たとえば、閲覧中の旅行情報ページをもとに4日間の旅程を生成したり、自然言語で過去の閲覧履歴から目的のページを検索したりできる。複数のタブを横断して情報を比較・要約する機能にも対応し、ブラウザ上での情報収集や整理の効率化を図る。 エージェント型AI機能は、Windows版およびAndroid版のSamsungブラウザで、現時点では韓国と米国でサポートする。今後、対応市場を順次拡大する予定。
