車いすに乗ったまま利用できる介護施設などの送迎車で、急ブレーキや衝突時などに車いすの人が死亡する事故が去年までの7年間に30件起きていたことが、消費者庁の安全調査委員会、いわゆる「消費者事故調」のまとめでわかりました。

「消費者事故調」は、介護施設の車など車いすに乗ったまま利用できる送迎車の事故の実態を調査していて、このほど中間報告をまとめました。

それによりますと、送迎車の急ブレーキや衝突などにより、乗っていた車いすの人が死傷した事故は2019年から去年までの7年間に合わせて49件発生していて、このうち死亡したケースは30件にのぼるということです。

発生状況では、介護施設の送迎での事故が34件でおよそ7割を占めていて、このうち▽車いすの固定が適切でなかったケースが8件▽シートベルトの装着が適切でなかったケースが9件あったということです。

「消費者事故調」は、▽車いすの正しい固定方法の認知や▽シートベルトを適切に装着するための条件が人によって異なることなどが課題として考えられるとして、引き続き分析を行い、再発防止に向けた提言をすることにしています。
