8日正午前、愛知県田原市の赤羽根海岸で「サーフィン中に夫が溺れた」などと一緒にいた家族から消防に通報がありました。

警察や消防によりますと、1人でサーフィンをしていた岡崎市に住む46歳の男性が病院に搬送されましたが、まもなく死亡が確認されました。

また、正午すぎには東栄町振草の川で「男性が川で溺れている」などと消防と警察に通報がありました。

弥富市に住む40歳の男性が病院に搬送されましたが、およそ8時間後に死亡が確認されました。

警察によりますと、男性は妻と小学6年生の息子の3人で川遊びに来ていて、溺れそうになった息子を助けようとしたとみられるということです。
