【地震情報】鹿児島 十島村で震度5弱 津波の心配なし（21:55）
17日午後9時55分ごろ地震がありました。この地震による津波の心配はありません。
震源地はトカラ列島近海で震源の深さはごく浅く、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは4.7と推定されます。
各市町村の震度は以下のとおりです。
震度5弱が鹿児島県諏訪之瀬島。
震度3が鹿児島県悪石島。
諏訪之瀬島 被害確認されず
鹿児島県の十島村によりますと、震度5弱の揺れが観測された諏訪之瀬島には、17日時点で38世帯78人が住んでいるということですが、これまでのところ、地震によるけが人や建物への被害は確認されていないということです。
諏訪之瀬島の校長「棚から物が落ちた」
鹿児島県十島村の諏訪之瀬島に住む、諏訪之瀬島学園の田畑浩和校長は「横揺れと縦揺れが5、6分おきに続いています。地震が起きたときは自宅にいて、棚から物が2、3個落ちてきました。学校に来てみましたが、学校は目立った被害はありませんでした」と話していました。
発電所の職員「急に大きく揺れた」
諏訪之瀬島発電所の当直職員は、「はじめはゆっくりと揺れている感じでしたが、急に大きく揺れました。棚から物が落ちることはありませんでした。30分ほどたった今も断続的に揺れが続いています」と話しています。
諏訪之瀬島 公民館に自主避難1人
十島村によりますと、午後10時半に諏訪之瀬島の公民館を自主避難所として開設し、1人が自主避難しているということです。村は島内の防災無線で自主避難所の開設を知らせる放送を行っているということです。
諏訪之瀬島 午後10時50分に噴火
諏訪之瀬島ではこれまでも噴火が繰り返し起きていて、地震のあと、午後10時50分にも噴火が起き、噴煙が火口から1500メートル上がっています。
地震後の火山の活動状況について気象庁は「諏訪之瀬島はもともと火山活動が活発で噴火を繰り返している。これまでのところ、顕著な火山活動の変化は確認されておらず、通常の火山活動の範囲内だ」としています。
発電所で異常確認されず
十島村によりますと、震度5弱の揺れが観測された諏訪之瀬島にある九州電力の発電所では、これまでに異常は確認されておらず、島内で停電は発生していないということです。
震度5弱はことし7月7日以来
気象庁によりますと、十島村で震度5弱の揺れを観測したのは、ことし7月7日に十島村の悪石島で観測して以来です。

専門家「一連の地震活動の一部か」
地震のメカニズムに詳しい東京大学地震研究所の酒井慎一教授は、「一連のトカラ列島近辺の活動の一部ではないかと思う。今後も地震が起きる可能性があると思われるので、しばらくは注意が必要だと思う。これまでは海域で地震が発生していることが多く、今後も場所次第では、津波が発生する可能性もあるので気をつけることが必要だ。暗いので住民の方はこれまでの地震で建物に被害が無いようであれば、安全なところを自分なりに確保して待機して欲しい」と話していました。
専門家「今回の地震 マグマの地下での動きを示唆か」
地殻変動に詳しい東京大学地震研究所の青木陽介准教授は、「これまで起きていたトカラ列島近海での地震活動も、地殻変動などのデータからマグマが地下で動いていることを示しているとみられていて、今回の地震もマグマの地下での動きを示唆しているのではないか」と指摘しています。
諏訪之瀬島では噴火活動が続いていますが、この活動に影響を及ぼすかどうかは現状では判断が難しいとした上で、震源と火山が近いことから、噴火活動を活発にさせる可能性はあるとみています。
青木准教授は「引き続き同規模かさらに大きな地震が起きると想定して、家具の固定などの備えを改めて進めてほしい」と話しています。
39世帯79人が住む諏訪之瀬島
十島村の諏訪之瀬島は種子島や屋久島の南西にあり、トカラ列島のほぼ中央に位置する周囲27キロほどの火山島です。
村役場のホームページによりますと8月末時点で島には39世帯79人が住んでいます。
島のほぼ中央には標高799メートルの御岳があり、長期間にわたって噴火を繰り返しています。
住民はこの御岳から南に4キロほど離れた元浦港の周辺に暮らしています。
村役場は島から200キロ以上離れた鹿児島市にあります。

また、17日午後10時0分ごろ、震度4を観測する地震もありました。
この地震による津波の心配はありません。
震源地はトカラ列島近海で震源の深さは10キロ、地震の規模を示すマグニチュードは4.7と推定されます。
