Webサイト変更でもリンク切れ防止 ～ IPA、DOI
独立行政法人情報処理推進機構（IPA）は6月20日、DOI（Digital Object Identifier）の運用開始について発表した。
DOIは、ISOにより国際的に標準化された規格（ISO26324）で、デジタルオブジェクトの活用と知的資産化を図る仕組み。報告書や教材、Webページ等のデジタルオブジェクトに一意の識別子を付与し管理することで、Webサイトの変更があってもリンク切れを防止し、誰もが参照可能な仕組みを実現する。
IPAでは、IPAで持つデジタル資産の蓄積と今後の永続的管理という観点から、htmlやPDFなどのコンテンツのファイルにDOIを割り当てて紐づけることで、コンテンツを一意に識別できるようにし、リンク切れなく永続的なアクセスが可能となるよう取り組む。
IPAでは2023年3月31日にサイトリニューアルを行った際に、掲載内容やサイト構造の見直し等を行い、多くのページのURLを変更することとなったが、多くのユーザーがIPAウェブサイトに掲載されたコンテンツへのリンクを自組織のサイトや資料等で活用していることの影響についての認識が不十分であった。
IPAでは今後、新規及び既存コンテンツのファイルもDOIを割り当てていく予定。
