仏 アニメ映画祭 青木康浩監督「ChaO」に長編部門審査員賞
フランスで開かれた世界最大級のアニメーション映画祭で、日本の青木康浩監督の作品「ChaO」が長編部門で最高賞に次ぐ審査員賞を受賞しました。
フランス南東部で毎年開かれる「アヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭」では、世界各地から出品されるアニメ作品が長編部門や短編部門などで最高賞の「クリスタル賞」を競います。
最終日の14日は各部門の授賞式が行われ、このうち長編部門では、青木康浩監督の「ChaO」が最高賞に次ぐ審査員賞に選ばれました。
また、特別賞にあたるポール・グリモー賞には、東京出身でフランスなどを拠点に活動する瀬戸桃子監督の「Dandelion’sOdyssey」が選ばれました。
日本の作品では、2017年に長編部門で湯浅政明監督の「夜明け告げるルーのうた」が最高賞のクリスタル賞を受賞したほか、片渕須直監督の「この世界の片隅に」が審査員賞を受賞しています。
ことしの長編部門のクリスタル賞には、フランスの作品「Arco」が選ばれました。
「ChaO」とは
「ChaO」はアニメーターの青木康浩さんが監督を務めた長編アニメーション作品です。
人間と人魚が共存する未来の社会を舞台に、主人公のサラリーマンが人魚の王国のお姫様「チャオ」と結婚することになり、困難に直面しながらも関係を深めていく恋愛模様を描いています。
青木監督は1980年代からアニメーターとして数多くの作品に参加し、2008年には人気ヒーロー、バットマンのオムニバスのアニメ作品『バットマン ゴッサムナイト』の1編で、監督を務めました。
