ピザの味競う大会「キングオブピッツァ」にぎわう 群馬 前橋
「ピザの街」としてPRしている前橋市で、飲食店がピザの味を競う大会が開かれ、多くの人でにぎわいました。
「キングオブピッツァ」と名付けられた大会は、ピザ生地の原料でもある小麦の収穫量が、群馬県内で最も多い前橋市を「ピザの街」として発信しようと8年前に始まりました。
市内の商店街の広場には、移動式のピザ窯やキッチンカーが置かれ、県内の7つの市と町から13の飲食店が参加してピザの味を競いました。
特産のこんにゃく粉を生地に練り込んだユニークなピザや、地元のフルーツトマトを使ったピザなどが並び、家族連れなどが食べ比べをしながら、お気に入りのピザに投票していました。
40代の男性は「ピザそれぞれにお店の個性が出ていて楽しいです。地産地消にもつながっていいです」と話していました。
大会の実行委員会の徳永力さんは「前橋からピザを盛り上げ、子どもからお年寄りまで幅広く楽しめるピザの魅力を全国に広げたいです」と話していました。
