オリコら3社、ステーブルコインで決済できるクレジットカード

SLASH VISIONとアイキタス、オリエントコーポレーション(オリコ)の3社は、日本国内でステーブルコインによるカード決済が可能な「Slash Card」の発行を4月20日から開始した。 Slash Cardは、米ドルに連動したステーブルコイン「USDC」を決済原資として利用できるクレジットカード。国内外のVisa加盟店で、従来のクレジットカードと同様に決済でき、決済の都度ステーブルコインを法定通貨へ交換する手続きは不要。 利用時にはユーザーが保有するUSDCをもとに決済が行なわれ、加盟店側には従来のカード決済と同様に日本円などの法定通貨で支払いが行なわれる。これにより、ユーザーはステーブルコインの複雑な手続きを意識することなく、日常の買い物の中で自然にステーブルコインを活用できるとしている。 Slash Cardは2025年6月から事前申込みの受付を開始しており、すでに申し込んだユーザーに対し、今後順次カードが発行される。2026年8月をめどに、一般向けの申込み受付を開始する予定。
