ひこにゃん 19回目の誕生日 彦根城でファンや観光客がお祝い
滋賀県彦根市の人気キャラクター「ひこにゃん」が13日、19回目の誕生日を迎え、お祝いのセレモニーが彦根城で開かれました。
「ひこにゃん」の誕生日は、愛称が決まった平成18年の4月13日となっています。
13日は、彦根城に隣接する博物館で、ひこにゃんの19回目の誕生日のセレモニーが開かれ、ファンや観光客など160人が集まりました。
はじめに、彦根市出身でファンクラブの名誉会長を務める、東京オリンピックの競泳女子で2つの金メダルを獲得した大橋悠依さんが花束を贈りました。
続いて、ひこにゃんの絵があしらわれた縦40センチ、横50センチのバースデーケーキが運び込まれ、ひこにゃんは体を動かして喜びを表していました。
彦根市によりますと、ひこにゃんには、お菓子や手紙など、全国から260点余りのプレゼントが届いたということです。
誕生直後からのファンだという大阪から訪れた50代の女性は「これからも、ゆっくりとまったりとしていてほしいです」と話していました。
