Meta、新スマホ動画編集アプリ「Edits」公開 インスタ”以外”も投稿
Metaは4月22日(米国時間)、スマートフォン上での動画作成を支援するアプリ「Edits」を提供した。アプリは無料でダウンロード可能で、利用にはInstagramのアカウントが必要。OSはAndroidとiOSに対応する。

Editsは、長時間の撮影や高度な編集、投稿後のデータ分析といった動画制作に必要な機能をひとつにまとめたアプリ。InstagramやFacebookだけでなく、他のプラットフォームへの投稿にも対応し、クリエイターがより柔軟に活用できる点が特徴となっている。
アプリには、最長10分間の動画撮影機能や、プロジェクトの簡易管理機能を搭載。編集機能は、フレーム単位での操作が可能なタイムラインを備え、自動補正、グリーンスクリーン、トランジションなどエフェクトにも対応する。また、ウォーターマークなしでの高品質なエクスポートにも対応し、他のSNSや動画共有サービスに投稿できる。
さらに、動画のスキップ率など視聴傾向をリアルタイムで把握できる「インサイト機能」も実装。ユーザーが自身の動画の改善点を分析できる。
Editsの開発には、多くのクリエイターのフィードバックが活用されており、ローンチ前には一部の利用者による先行テストも実施された。
今後は、キーフレーム設定機能やAIエフェクトによる動画のトーン・ムード調整、フォントやテキストアニメーション、トランジション、ボイスエフェクト、楽曲といった各種編集オプションの追加、下書き動画を友人やクリエイター、企業と共有する機能など、さらなる拡張を予定している。
