神戸の動物園 パンダ「タンタン」の追悼イベント
神戸市の動物園で20年以上親しまれてきたジャイアントパンダの「タンタン」が、死んでから1年がたつのに合わせて、園で追悼イベントが開かれました。
メスのジャイアントパンダ「タンタン」は、阪神・淡路大震災からの復興などを願って2000年に中国から神戸市の王子動物園に貸し出され、愛くるしい姿が人気を集めましたが、去年の3月31日、人間の年齢にして100歳くらいに相当する28歳で死にました。
タンタンが死んでから1年になるのに合わせて、園では31日から、かつてタンタンが過ごしたパンダ館で追悼イベントを行っていて、入り口にはさまざまな表情の写真が載った記念の冊子が置かれました。
また、建物内の壁には、来園者が白と黒の花の形をしたシールを貼っていくとタンタンの絵が浮かび上がる大型のパネルも設けられていて、訪れた人たちが次々とシールを貼っていました。
近所に住む30代の女性は「タンタンとの思い出を息子と一緒に振り返りにきました。お空の上で元気にしてくれていたらいいなと思います」と話していました。
王子動物園の広報担当、尾上勝利さんは「タンタンの思い出をいつでも振り返ってもらえるよう冊子を作り、シールは花の形で献花の気持ちを表しています。命日に合わせて皆さんと思い出を共有できればと思います」と話していました。
