沖縄の新たな観光スポットとして去年開業した本島北部のテーマパーク「ジャングリア沖縄」は、25日、開業から1年を迎えました。運営会社はこの1年の来場者数が100万人になる見通しだと明らかにした一方で「思うような数字には至っていない」としてさらなる改善を進めていく考えを示しました。

「ジャングリア沖縄」は、沖縄県今帰仁村で開業してから25日で1年となり、創作エイサー団体による力強い演舞が披露されたほか、スタッフが来場者たちを笑顔で出迎え、特別な1日を演出していました。

また、運営会社の加藤健史CEOが会見し、この1年の来場者数がパークに併設されたスパのみの利用者を含め100万人、売り上げ高は100億円になる見通しだと明らかにしました。

運営会社は来場者数の目標などを公表していませんが、加藤CEOは「たくさんの施策を投入したが残念ながら思うような数字には至っていない。3年、10年、15年かけて『沖縄になくてはならない場所』と言われるように変わり続ける」と述べ、さらなる改善を進めていく考えを示しました。
