YKKが「自走式ファスナー」 遠隔操作で開閉できる
YKKは、開閉を遠隔操作できる「自走式ファスナー」を開発。太陽工業の枚方工場でファスナー試作機の実証試験を実施し、稼働を確認した。
自走式ファスナーは、歯車とモーターを内蔵した自走ユニットをファスナーに後付けし、有線方式のコントローラーで操作することで、遠隔でファスナーを開閉できる。実証試験は太陽工業と協働で、屋外実験と屋内実験を実施した。
屋外実験では5mの膜に自走式ファスナーを接合。膜が分離した状態で上から吊るし、自走式ファスナーのスイッチを入れると、約40秒で5mの膜がつながった。
屋内実験では、幅4m×奥行4m×高さ2.5mのマク・クイックシェルター2基に自走式ファスナーを接合。自走式ファスナーのスイッチを入れると、人では届かない天井部を含めて、2張りのテントが約50秒でつながった。
自走式ファスナーが活きるシーンとして想定しているのは、高所作業など過酷な場面。そういった場でもファスナーは人の手によって開閉しなければならず、また産業分野のファスナー開閉作業においては安全面における配慮が必要で、作業は熟練者に頼る必要があり、作業時間もかかっていた。
YKKでは、自走式ファスナーはこういった課題を解決する商品になりうると考えており、実証試験で得た知見を活かして実用化に向けた開発を進める。
