今月、サッカーの三笘薫選手が運転する車が都内の交差点で自転車と衝突し、相手の女性がけがをした事故で、警視庁が三笘選手を23日、過失運転傷害の疑いで書類送検したことが捜査関係者への取材で分かりました。

今月8日、東京 板橋区清水町の交差点で、サッカーの三笘薫選手（29）が運転する乗用車が自転車と出会い頭に衝突し、自転車に乗っていた40代の女性が軽いけがをしました。

捜査関係者によりますと、三笘選手の車が赤信号の交差点に進入したとみられるということです。

当時は車の進行方向の信号機は赤でしたが歩行者用の信号機が青だったとみられ、三笘選手は「歩行者用の信号が青に変わったことに気を取られた」などと話していたということです。

この事故で、警視庁が三笘選手を23日、過失運転傷害の疑いで書類送検したことが捜査関係者への取材で分かりました。

起訴を求める「厳重処分」ではなく、判断を検察に任せる「相当処分」の意見を付けたということです。
