北海道厚真町 田んぼオーナーが田植え 米価高騰で申し込み増加
コメの価格の高騰が続く中で北海道厚真町では、町外から集まった田んぼのオーナーたちが田植えの作業をしました。
コメ作りがさかんな厚真町では町外の人に田んぼの区画を有料で貸し出すオーナー制度がおよそ20年前から導入されていて、25日は道内各地から集まった40組のオーナーが田植えの作業を体験しました。
あいにくの雨もようの中、オーナーたちは、地元の生産者から水田ではつま先から足を入れると歩きやすくなることや、苗の植え方など田植えのコツを教わりながら「ななつぼし」の苗を丁寧に植えていました。
田んぼのオーナーを募集した地元の観光協会によりますとコメの価格の高騰が続く中でことしはオーナーの申し込みが予想以上に増え、予定より貸し出す水田を2割以上広げたということです。
田植えを体験した札幌市の50代のオーナーは「泥の感触と苗の感触が初めての体験でドキドキワクワクしました。このまま順調に元気に育ってほしい」と話していました。
