池袋に「アニメイト通り」誕生 マンガ・アニメでにぎわい
東京都 豊島区は、3月1日に、東池袋一丁目を南北に走る区道の通称名を、「アニメイト通り」と設定した。

新たに「アニメイト通り」と命名された東池袋一丁目周辺は、庁舎の跡地周辺が「Hareza池袋」として生まれ変わり、界隈は、マンガ・アニメに関連したにぎわいの向上が見られている。今回、地域から区道の通称名を「アニメイト通り」にしたいとの要望を受けたことから名称設定した。
アニメイト通りは、豊島区東池袋1丁目18番先から豊島区東池袋1丁目12番先を結ぶ、長さ430m。アニメイト池袋本店にも面している。池袋では、マンガ・アニメに関連したお店が多く、サンシャイン60の西側にある「乙女ロード」も知られている。
