ゆうちょ銀行は6日、ファミリーマートに設置しているATMについて、2027年1月から順次営業終了すると発表した。対象台数は5,400台で、今後3年程度かけて順次撤去していく。ファミリーマートでは従来、ATMサービスとして「イーネットATM」、「ゆうちょATM」を設置してきた。しかし6月からはセブン銀行と協力し、独自デザインの「ファミマATM」の導入を開始。新しいATMサービスの主軸をファミマATMとし、順次拡大している。ゆうちょ銀行は、ATM設置に関する契約終了に伴い、ファミリーマートでの「ゆうちょATM」の設置を終了する。なお、「ファミマATM」への置き換え後も、ゆうちょ銀行キャッシュカードで、ゆうちょ銀行口座の預け入れ、払い戻し、残高照会を利用できる。ただし、預入/払戻し手数料は発生し、手数料は平日昼(8時45分～18時)と土曜日の昼(9～12時)が220円、その他の時間が330円。ゆうちょ銀行では全国のゆうちょ銀行や郵便局24,000カ所にATMを設置しているほか、局外に1,000カ所、さらにファミリーマートに5,400台のATMを展開し、3万以上の国内最大のATM網を有してきた。このうち2割弱の5,400台が無くなることとなるが、「国内随一のATMのネットワークは継続していく。利用者の不便にならないようフォローしていきたい」(同社)としている。他社との提携は、「ATM事業の戦略上必要」としており、今後も取り組んでいく方針。また、ゆうちょ銀行ならではのニーズとして、窓口業務の補完的利用を含めたATMに求められる機能開発なども進めるとしている。なお、ファミリーマートのゆうちょ銀行ATMは、通帳記帳などの機能を省いた独自の薄型ATMだが、ファミマ以外でも空港やコープさっぽろ、あおぞら銀行など、130台を展開中。これらも当面継続提供していく。
