ガーミン、レーダー搭載の自転車用ドラレコ付ライト「Varia Vue」
ガーミンは、自転車用の4Kカメラ一体型ヘッドライト「Varia Vue」を5月1日に発売する。価格は84,800円。

「Varia」シリーズは、独自のレーダー技術で監視し、接近する自動車を検知してサイクリストに知らせるデバイス。接近する自動車には高輝度ライトで自転車位置を知らせて、サイクリストの安全をサポートする。後方カメラとして「Varia RCT715」が販売されている。
新モデルの「Varia Vue」は、フロント仕様のデバイスで、最大600ルーメンの高輝度ライトと、4K対応の高解像度カメラを一体化。事故発生時に記録映像による事故検証を可能にする。
事故発生時はヘッドライトが衝撃を自動検知し、映像を即座に保存。映像のブレ補正も可能で、映像は事故の瞬間とその前後が自動的に保存される。解像度は4Kと1080p/30fpsを切替え可能。録画には別途microSDカードが必要(最大512GB)。
内蔵マイクにより音声も録音するほか、別売の後方カメラ「Varia RCT715」と組み合わせ、前後映像の同期も可能。サブスクリプションプラン「Garmin Vault」を利用することで、クラウドサービスの利用、Variaアプリとの連携でビデオの共有も可能になる。
ヘッドライトは高、中、低、ナイトフラッシュ、デイフラッシュの5モードで、対向車両のドライバーなどを眩惑しないよう、カットオフビーム機能も備える。
スマートフォンアプリ「Varia App」でカメラやライトのコントロール、ビデオ映像の自動アップロード(Wi-Fi使用時)などが可能。ガーミンのサイクルコンピュータ「Edge」ともペアリングでき、手元でライトモードの切り替えや自動輝度コントロール設定が行なえる。IPX7の防水仕様で、本体サイズは92×60×33mm、重量200g。
