愛媛 宇和島で「しらうおまつり」シロウオなどの旬の味楽しむ
早春を告げるハゼ科の魚、シロウオなど地域の旬の味を楽しむ「しらうおまつり」が26日、愛媛県宇和島市の河川敷で開かれ、大勢の人でにぎわいました。
愛媛県宇和島市津島町の岩松川では、毎年この時期に地元では「しらうお」と呼ばれるハゼ科の魚、シロウオが産卵のために遡上（そじょう）します。
地元の商工会などは、この季節限定の旬の味を多くの人に楽しんでもらおうと、「しらうおまつり」を開き会場の岩松川の河川敷には「しらうお」やじゃこ天などの郷土料理を提供するおよそ40軒の出店が並びました。
このうち三杯酢と一緒に食べる「しらうお」の躍り食いには、大勢の人が行列を作り、独特なのどごしを味わっていました。
また、近くでは伝統の「しらうお」漁の体験も行われ、胴長姿の家族連れが川に入って網をたぐり寄せていました。
「躍り食い」を味わった広島県から来た男性は「おいしくて最高です。元気よく口の中で動いてます」と話していました。
松山市から来た夫婦で訪れた男性は「口の中で泳いでいておいしいです。つるっと入ってきます」と話していました。
