世界初の100%再エネ「洋上浮体型データセンター」 横浜で実証
日本郵船、NTTファシリティーズ、ユーラスエナジーホールディングス、三菱UFJ銀行の4社と横浜市は、「洋上浮体型データセンター」の実証実験を開始した。場所は横浜港大さん橋ふ頭に設置されているミニフロート(浮体式係留施設)上。
洋上浮体型データセンターは、クラウドサービス普及や生成AIの登場で需要が高まるデータセンターの運用における、消費電力の増大などさまざまな課題の解決を目的として構想されているもの。
実証実験では、ミニフロート上に、コンテナ型データセンター、太陽光発電設備、蓄電池設備を設置し、世界で初めて、洋上の浮体上に設置したデータセンターを再エネのみで運用する。2026年度末までを目処として、塩害や振動観点での稼働安定性や再エネのエネルギーマネジメントに関する検証など、実用化に向けた実証実験を実施していく。
