帝国ホテル東京、タワー館解体を6年延期 内幸町再開発エリア
帝国ホテルは、当初2024年度中としていた「帝国ホテル東京タワー館」の解体工事着工について、2030年度末頃とすることを発表した。同施設は、内幸町一丁目街区の再開発エリアに含まれている。
当初は、2024年度～30年度の期間でタワー館の建て替えを実施する計画だった。計画変更について、「帝国ホテル東京の建て替え計画を含む内幸町一丁目街区の再開発計画の進捗状況、昨今の建築費、労務費、エネルギー価格等の物価動向および近時の社会環境による影響等を踏まえた事業計画の検証を継続的に実施しており、当該検証を経てより質の高い事業計画の検討に要する期間等を踏まえ」決定したとしている。
タワー館解体工事着工まで、タワー館でのホテル事業(全ての客室および宴会場等)、不動産賃貸事業の営業を継続する。
内幸町一丁目街区再開発は北地区、中地区、南地区の3街区で開発が進められており、帝国ホテル東京は北地区に含まれている。街区全体の完成は2037年度以降を予定している。
