埼玉 所沢 屋内スキー場で人工雪のゲレンデづくり
関東甲信では29日も真夏日となった一方、埼玉県所沢市の屋内スキー場では来月末のオープンに向けて人工雪のゲレンデづくりが進められています。
所沢市の屋内スキー場、「狭山スキー場」は今月中旬から24時間体制で人工の雪をまく作業を行い、同じ施設内にあるウォータースライダーなどの営業を28日で終えたことから本格的なゲレンデづくりにとりかかっています。
しかし、29日は気温が高く、28日夜雪をまいてつくった4メートルの雪山が、29日午前には一部がとけて3.5メートルになっていました。
暑さの中、スタッフは汗かきながら、積もった雪がとけないようシートをかぶせるなどしてゲレンデづくりを進めていました。
今シーズンの営業は来月31日の予定で、全長300メートル、深さ70センチのゲレンデを完成させることにしています。
狭山スキー場の関谷歩己支配人は「例年よりも暑いので、雪がとけやすいため、こまめにシートをかぶせるなど対策をとっています。まだ暑いのでスタッフの熱中症にも気をつけたい」と話していました。
