れいわ新選組から党名を変更したいのちの党は、5日から2日間の日程で東京都内で党大会を開いています。

この中で山本代表は「先の衆議院選挙でのれいわ新選組の敗北と自治体議員選挙の連敗は、失敗以外のなにものでもない。党のあり方を徹底的に問い直し党勢を立て直して党を大きくしたい」と述べ、新たな体制のもとで党のあり方を見直し党勢拡大を図る決意を示しました。

その上で「いのちを守るための政治を当事者の声を聴いて実現する勢力をつくらなければならない。人間の尊厳が奪われることのない社会をつくり厳しい経済状況からいのちを守る先頭に立つため、もう一度スタートを切ろう」と呼びかけました。
