povoの外国人向けeSIM「Japan SIM」オンラインでも販売
KDDIは、訪日外国人向けのデータ専用eSIM「Japan SIM」のオンライン提供を8月28日から開始する。データ回線の申し込みからeSIMプロファイルのダウンロードまで訪日準備中に完了でき、到着直後からpovo2.0の通信を利用できる。

トッピングは、データ量が決まっているプランと使い放題プランの計10種類をラインナップしている。1GB(3日間)が300円、10GB(7日間)が1,430円、20GB(30日間)が2,700円など。使い放題は、データ使い放題(2時間)が190円、データ使い放題(3日間)が1,540円など。

オンライン提供の開始を記念し、「Japan SIM」でpovo2.0に新規登録したユーザーに「データ使い放題(24時間)」のコードをプレゼントするキャンペーンを実施する。
また、期間限定で、JR東日本が訪日外国人向けに提供する「Welcome Suica Mobile」アプリの専用リンクからもJapan SIMの購入が可能になる。
「Japan SIM」は日本国内のローソンで7月から販売されている。店頭版のトッピングのラインナップは、今回のオンライン版とは異なる。
