インスタ、友達とリールを共有する「ブレンド」機能
Instagramは、自分と友達専用でリール動画を共有できる「ブレンド(Blend)」の提供を開始した。対象は全Instagramユーザーで、利用はダイレクトメッセージ(DM)から招待する仕組み。

ブレンドは、1対1またはグループのDMチャット内で作成し、自分と友達それぞれの興味関心に基づいておすすめされるリール動画を、ひとつのフィードとしてまとめて閲覧できる機能。自分に表示されるリールだけでなく、参加者の関心に沿ったコンテンツや、共通の趣味に関する動画も一覧できる。
リール動画の視聴中には、画面下部のバーからコメントやリアクションを行なうことで、そのままDM内で動画についての会話が可能。DMのチャットに直接投稿され、メンバーに通知が届くため、タイムラインを離れることなく交流を深められる。
ブレンドを使うには、DMでの1対1またはグループチャットを開き、右上に表示されるブレンドアイコンをタップして「招待する」を選択。相手が参加すれば、その日からブレンドが利用可能となり、コンテンツは日々更新される。
フィードには「○○におすすめ」と表示され、どの動画がどのメンバーに向けたものであるかが一目でわかる。ブレンドはDM内からのみアクセス可能で、通常のリールタブとは別に提供される。参加は自由で、いつでも退出できる。
