グーグルNotebookLM、「動画解説」を日本でも開始 スライド+音声で要約
Googleは25日(米国時間)、個人やチーム専用のAIデータベース「NotebookLM」で動画で内容を解説してくれる新機能「動画解説(Video Overviews)」を日本語を含む80以上の言語で対応した。スライド付きの音声要約で、テーマに沿った内容をわかりやすく解説してくれる。

NotebookLMの動画解説は、NotebookLMにデータを蓄積した「ノートブック」単位で、そのノートの内容を音声付きのスライドで紹介してくれる機能。NotebookLMでは4月から音声解説(Audio Overviews)を展開しており、日本でも利用可能となっていたが、新たにスライド付きになることで動画として視覚的にわかりやすく内容を理解できるようになる。
スライドは、AIが新たなビジュアルを作成し、ポイントの説明などに活用。ソースに登録されたドキュメントから画像、図表、引用、数値などを抽出して解説する。これにより、利用者の理解を深めていく。
動画概要の内容は、NotebookLMの「ノートブック」に登録したデータの要約となるため、誤りが少なく、内容をより深く理解できるようになる。例えば、試験の準備のために数時間の講義動画の復習に動画概要を使ったり、プレゼンテーションの要約や発見に使うといったことが可能となる。
また、音声解説も強化し、80言語で英語版と同等に、短いバージョンから長尺のフルレングス版まで作成可能となる。急いでいるときには、短い音声解説を作成し、より詳しく知りたいバージョンは長い音声解説を作成するといった使い分けが可能になる
これらのアップデートは26日(日本時間)から、すべてのユーザーに順次適用開始し、今後1週間かけてグローバルに展開される。
