ロシア極東のサハリン州は13日、中国の企業関係者などの代表団が北方領土の択捉島を訪問したと発表しました。

北方領土の択捉島を訪れたのは中国東北部の黒竜江省の行政機関や企業の関係者で、サハリン州知事の指示に基づきロシアと中国の共同プロジェクトの実現可能性を調査するため実施されたということです。

サハリン州によりますと中国の代表団はウニやナマコの養殖に関心を示したほか、観光インフラの開発候補地を視察したということです。

サハリン州のリマレンコ知事は「ビジネスの発展は住民の生活の質を向上させ新たな可能性を切り開くものでなければならない」と述べ投資環境を整備する考えを示しました。

ロシア政府は税制優遇措置などによって北方領土に国内外から投資を呼び込み経済発展につなげたい方針で、ことし8月にはプーチン大統領が初めて択捉島を訪問しています。

高市総理大臣は、13日夜、総理大臣官邸で記者団に対し「報道は承知しているが、現在、事実関係を確認中だ。わが国の立場に基づいて適切に対応する」と述べました。
