奈良 大和郡山 金魚すくいの腕前競う全国大会
金魚の養殖で全国的に知られる奈良県大和郡山市で、金魚すくいの腕前を競う全国大会が開かれています。
この大会は金魚の養殖が盛んな大和郡山市などが「金魚のまち」をアピールしようと30年前から開いていて、ことしは全国各地や海外からおよそ1600人がエントリーしました。
大会は3人1組で行う団体戦と、一般と小・中学生の個人戦の部門で行われ、それぞれ3分間に何匹の金魚をすくえるかを競います。
市内の会場では午前中、団体戦が行われ、各チームのメンバーがおよそ1000匹の金魚が入った水槽を囲み、合図とともに丸い枠に和紙をはった「ポイ」という道具を使って次々と金魚をすくっていました。
中には同時に金魚を2匹すくう人もいて、会場を盛り上げました。
そして1回戦を勝ち抜いた25チームで決勝が行われました。
これまで団体戦で2連覇しているチームの30代の男性は「30回の記念大会ですし、縁起よく3連覇したい」と話していました。
高校時代の同級生で参加したチームの1人は「3人で3匹という振るわない結果でしたが、去年が2匹だったので少しは成長できたかなと思います。楽しむ気持ちを忘れず来年も頑張りたい」と話していました。
