カナダのカーニー首相は、ウクライナを支援するため、日本円でおよそ390億円を新たに拠出すると発表しました。

ウクライナのゼレンスキー大統領は10日、SNSで謝意を示したうえで、ロシアのミサイルや無人機を迎撃するための防空システム「パトリオット」や戦闘機など、防空体制の強化に充てられるという見方を示しました。

そのうえで、「われわれは防衛資金の調達を進め、カナダは実戦に裏付けられた技術的優位性を得る」と投稿し、防衛分野での今後の協力に前向きな姿勢を示しました。

防空兵器の資金拠出に加え、カナダは厳しい冬に向けてエネルギー分野の支援にも取り組むことにしています。

また、長期的にはウクライナと共同で無人機を生産し、安全保障面での協力を進めるとしています。
