日本郵便「デジタルアドレス」を開始 7ケタ英数字で住所を識別

日本郵便は、7ケタの英数字で住所を識別する「デジタルアドレス」の運用を始めたと発表しました。住んでいる建物の名前や部屋番号も登録するため、送り先の入力などが容易になるとしています。

発表によりますと、日本郵便は7ケタの英数字による固有の番号を個人に割り当てる「デジタルアドレス」の運用を26日から始めました。

日本郵便のオンラインサービス「ゆうID」に登録しているおよそ1500万人のうち希望者に対してこのアドレスを発行し、郵便番号や住所を登録してもらう仕組みです。

郵便局の専用のアプリを通じてゆうパックなどの送り状を作成する際、このアドレスを入力するだけで、郵便番号では表示されない住んでいるマンションなどの建物の名前や部屋番号まで表示され、手間が省けるとしています。

また、引っ越しをしても専用のホームページで住所を変更することで、転居後も同じアドレスを利用できるとしています。

日本郵便は、将来デジタルアドレスだけで郵便物を配送することも目指したいとしていて、通販サイトを運営する企業にもシステムの活用を呼びかけて利用を広げたいとしています。
