コクヨ、「大人のやる気ペン」を一般発売 頑張りを見える化
コクヨは、努力を見える化することで大人の学びをサポートするIoT文具「大人のやる気ペン」を、5月12日に一般発売する。参考価格は9,900円。

1月から3月にかけてMakuakeで先行販売を実施していたアイテム。Makuakeでの購入者へのアンケートでは、「ユーザー満足度 84%」「モチベーションアップの効果を実感 78%」の結果を得られたという。
勉強をする際に市販の筆記具やスタイラスペンに取り付けて使用。加速度センサーによる測定データを、ペンを手に持って勉強に取り組むことで溜まる「やる気パワー」として記録し、LEDの色変化として“見える化”する。
データは本体内のメモリーに保存され、学習後にBluetoothでスマートフォンと通信して専用アプリと連動。アプリでは、やる気パワーの量を1日や1週間、1カ月単位でグラフ化する。学習の習慣化をチェックできるカレンダー機能もついている。
また、1週間の学習傾向に合わせ、頑張った時には褒め言葉、サボってしまった時には叱責の言葉といった「叱咤激励」のメッセージが届く。そのほか、自身のアバターがやる気パワーの量に応じてスゴロク形式のステージを進み、アイテムを獲得するなど、ゲーム要素も取り込んでいる。
スゴロクでは他のユーザーのアバターに出会い、様々な学ぶ人たちの「勉強のコツ」や「勉強する理由」などを知ることもできる。自分一人ではないことに気づくことで、勉強仲間同士のモチベーションアップの循環を生み出すとしている。
大人のやる気ペンは、子ども向けに展開している「しゅくだいやる気ペン」をベースに小型化。本体重量は約8gで「しゅくだい」から約60%の軽量化を実現した。取り付けるペンの適合目安は直径9～13mm。シャーペン、ボールペン、スタイラスペン等に対応する。鉛筆は細いため装着できない。
サイズは本体が24×30×22mm、充電ケースが51×51×35mm。バッテリー時間は1日2時間の学習で約7日間。
