鈴木農相 “加工・米粉など主食用以外のコメ生産促す”

主食用のコメの在庫が大幅に増えている一方で、加工用や米粉用などのコメは需要に比べて足りないとして、鈴木農林水産大臣は「あわせて25万トン程度の増産が可能な状況だ」と述べ、主食用以外のコメの生産を促す考えを示しました。

農林水産省によりますと、価格高騰を受けて去年、主食用のコメの増産が進んだ結果、在庫量が前の年を大幅に上回っているうえ、ことしの作付けも去年並みの水準となる見通しです。

その一方で、加工用や米粉用などのコメは需要に比べて足りないとして、鈴木農林水産大臣は、17日の閣議のあとの記者会見で具体的な状況を説明しました。

それによりますと、ことし1月末時点の調査などから、需要に対して加工用はおよそ4万トン、米粉用米はおよそ4万トン、それに輸出用などのコメはおよそ2万から4万トン、不足する見通しだということです。

その上で鈴木大臣は、「それぞれ合わせると需要見込みに対して25万トン程度の増産が可能な状況だ」と述べ、主食用以外のコメの生産を促す考えを示しました。
