山梨 富士山周辺で外国人のレンタカー事故増 安全運転呼びかけ
山梨県側の富士山のふもとで、外国人のドライバーによるレンタカーの事故が増えていることから、警察などによる外国人観光客への安全運転の呼びかけが行われました。
富士山のふもとでは移動に便利だとしてレンタカーを利用する外国人のドライバーが増えこれに伴い、交通事故も増加しています。
山梨県警察本部によりますと富士北麓地域で起きた外国人のドライバーによるレンタカーの交通事故は去年、速報値で769件にのぼり過去10年で最も多くなりました。
こうしたことを受けて警察などは21日、富士河口湖町にあるレンタカー会社で、日本の交通ルールが外国語で書かれたチラシなどを配って安全運転を呼びかけました。
チラシにはQRコードが記載されスマートフォンで読み取ると、外国人ドライバーによる交通事故の場所を確認することもできます。
警察などの担当者は、このあと富士山と五重の塔の景観が人気を集める富士吉田市の公園も訪れ、外国人観光客に安全運転を呼びかけました。
富士吉田警察署の和田康平交通課長は「外国人のドライバーは日本の交通ルールを守り、安全運転をしてほしい。一方、地元の人は不慣れな外国人のドライバーが多いことに留意してほしい」と話していました。
