埼玉 東松山 ミャンマーの人ら多く通う寺院で支援物資送る作業
ミャンマー中部で発生した大地震を受けて、埼玉県東松山市にあるミャンマーの人たちが多く通う寺院では、支援物資を現地に送る作業が進められています。
ミャンマー出身の僧侶が設立した埼玉県東松山市にある「悟り寺」では、3月に発生した大地震のあと、現地からの要望を受け日本で暮らすミャンマーの人などに支援物資の提供を呼びかけていました。
寺院には全国各地から衣服などが集まり、5日はボランティアおよそ10人が届いた物資を仕分けて箱に詰めていました。
ミャンマーでは物資が十分に届いていない状況だということで、寺院では今回の支援物資をミャンマーにある別の寺院に送り、被災した人たちに配ってもらう計画です。
寺院には、家族を亡くしたものの帰国できない人から、日本で葬儀をしたいという相談も複数寄せられているということで、「悟り寺」の代表でミャンマー出身の富永ソウさんは「やりきれない気持ちですが、できることからやるしかありません。復興には時間がかかるので、効果的に支援を続けるために情報を集めていきたい」と話していました。
