デジタルイノベーションの総合展示会「CEATEC 2026」が、千葉県千葉市の幕張メッセで開幕した。開催期間は10月13日～16日の10時〜17時。入場は無料で、会場参加やカンファレンス聴講などには事前予約が必要となる。 CEATECは、テクノロジーの活用が人々の暮らしをいかに豊かにできるかを発信することを目的に、2000年に第1回が開催された展示会。デジタル家電見本市として始まり、2016年に脱・家電見本市を宣言。Society 5.0の実現を打ち出して「CPS/IoT」と「共創」を軸としたデジタルイノベーションの総合展に転換した。 2024年には、日本自動車工業会が主催する「Japan Mobility Show Bizweek」と初めて併催。今回は2回目の併催となり、「デジタルテクノロジー」と「モビリティ」の両面から、産業の垣根を越えた共創を促すため、両展示会の連携をさらに強化する。 2026年の開催テーマは「Transformation －企業が、産業が、そして社会が変わる－」。優れた技術や構想の披露にとどまらず、変革の価値を高め、社会実装を加速する場とする。 イベントでは「一般展示」「X(Transformation)パーク」「ネクストジェネレーションパーク」「グローバルパーク」の4つの展示エリアを用意。出展者は821社/団体で、このうち338社/団体が新規出展。全体の41%を占める。 スタートアップ/大学研究機関は、記録を開始した2014年以降で最多となる246社/団体が参加。カンファレンスでは229本のセッションを展開する。
