西武鉄道 小田急電鉄から譲渡された車両の引き継ぎ式 東京
西武鉄道が小田急電鉄から譲渡された車両を改修して5月末から営業運転を始めるのを前に、24日、東京 新宿で車両の引き継ぎ式が行われました。
西武鉄道は、2030年度までに全車両を消費電力の少ないものに置き換えるため、小田急と東急電鉄から省エネ性能の高い車両、合わせておよそ100両を順次、有償で譲り受け改修して導入することにしています。
その第1弾として、改修された車両6両が、5月31日から西武国分寺線などで営業運転を始めることになり、24日に西武新宿駅で車両の引き継ぎ式が行われました。
式では、小田急から西武の運転士に車両の鍵のオブジェが渡されました。
このあと車両の試乗会も行われ、ツアーに申し込んだおよそ100人が乗車し、新所沢駅に向けて出発しました。
試乗を前に、世田谷区に住む50代男性は「私が中学生の頃から乗り続けてきた小田急の車両が、西武沿線を走るとは想像もしなかったです。車窓の違いを楽しみたいです」と話していました。
西武鉄道車両部の小川克弘部長は「他社から譲渡された車両を活用するのは、当社では初めての取り組みなので、無事に運転できて安心しました。順次、車両を譲り受けて営業運転を目指していきたい」と話していました。
