東京海上HD バフェット氏投資会社グループから出資と発表

大手損害保険グループの東京海上ホールディングスは、アメリカの著名な投資家、ウォーレン・バフェット氏が会長を務める投資会社のグループから出資を受けると発表しました。

発表によりますと、東京海上ホールディングスは、アメリカの著名な投資家、ウォーレン・バフェット氏が会長を務める投資会社、バークシャー・ハサウェイの傘下にある保険会社から出資を受けます。

出資額は2874億円で、この傘下の保険会社は2.5％の株式を保有する主要株主となります。

今後、再保険の事業や企業のM＆Aの分野で協業するほか、共同での投資も検討するとしています。

これまでバフェット氏は、投資会社を通じて日本では三菱商事や伊藤忠商事など大手商社5社に投資していて、保有比率を徐々に引き上げ、去年9月の時点ではいずれも10％前後にのぼっています。

今回、金融分野への投資が加わる形で、東京海上としては著名な投資家のネットワークを生かしていけるかが焦点となります。
