代々木公園リニューアル、旧五輪宿舎にドトール出店　夜間利用拡大

東京都は、都立代々木公園A地区のリニューアルについて概要を発表した。代々木公園A地区は、道路(放射23号線)を挟んで北側にあるエリアで、周辺を緑に囲まれた中央広場を中心に「森林公園」として利用されてきた。 東京都は、オリンピック記念宿舎エリアや噴水エリアなど代々木公園A地区のリニューアルを推進中で、リニューアルにあたっては夜間利用も促進し、3月中旬には、原宿門から渋谷門付近に至る園路の拡幅、照明灯の増設を完了している。 オリンピック記念宿舎エリアでは、東京オリンピック(1964年)で選手の宿舎として活用されたオリンピック記念宿舎の外観デザインを継承しつつ、来園者にくつろぎを提供するカフェとして再建。オリンピック記念宿舎へ繋がる園路には、夜間でも利用できるよう照明設備の整備を行なった。入居する店舗は「ドトール パークカフェYOYOGI」で、4月9日に開業予定。営業時間は7時～19時。 「ドトール パークカフェYOYOGI」の店舗面積は32坪。席数は78席(店内34席・テラス44席)。 店内の随所に日本の素材や様式、技術を取り入れ、日本発祥のドトールコーヒーショップと東京オリンピックで使われた記念宿舎とのコラボレーションを表現している。 入口のサインや店内の壁面には、庵治石(あじいし)を敷き詰め、自然との調和と上質感を演出。店内中央に配置した一枚板の大テーブルには、ケヤキの無垢材を使用し、美しい木目が特徴のケヤキにより、オリンピックの歴史と空間に豊かな風合いをもたらすという。 災害発生時には、帰宅困難者の休息場所等としても使用できるよう、客席の椅子は全て可動式とする。また、防災用品や非常用トイレ、ソーラー発電等を備蓄するなど、防災拠点としても整備している。 メニュー例は、「苺抹茶ラテ ～福岡県産あまおう苺使用～」(780円)、「YOYOGIドック ～北海道4種のチーズソース～」(560円)など。パスタやドリア等、店舗限定メニューも容易する。 施設の老朽化が進む噴水エリアは、躍動する水と華やかな光の演出が四季を通じて夜間も楽しめる空間へとリニューアル。ダイナミックで多様な動きの噴水には、季節にあわせた色彩など華やかな光の演出を行なう。水回廊は、ミストや水盤の中に入って涼しく遊べるよう整備。夜はミストと照明を組み合わせた幻想的な演出を行なう。11月上旬に運用を開始する。
