コンバースの名作「ジャックパーセル」がレーベル化！特別モデル「ジャックパーセル 1935」が登場──GQ新着スニーカー
今年90周年を迎えるコンバースの人気モデル「ジャックパーセル（JACK PURCELL）」が、コンバース社（CONVERSE）の新たな単独レーベルとして展開される。それを記念した、特別モデル「ジャックパーセル1935（JACK PURCELL 1935）」が登場。先行発売は5月17日（土）にビオトープで行われ、5月26日（月）からは全国のコンバース取扱店舗でも販売が開始される予定だ。価格は16,500円（税込）。

「ジャックパーセル」は、1935年にカナダのバドミントン選手ジャック・パーセルのシグネチャーシューズとして誕生。クラシックなシルエットに加え、ヒール部分のラインやつま先のカーブが“スマイル”と呼ばれるデザインとして広く知られ、今なお多くの人々に愛され続けている。
今回登場する「ジャックパーセル1935」は、1970年代のディテールを取り入れながら現代的にアップデートされたリニューアルモデル。かかと部分の4本ステッチやサイドステッチなど、当時の特徴を継承しつつ、ヒールラベルとインソールには「1935」のロゴをあしらい、90周年を記念するスペシャル感を演出している。
アッパーにはリサイクルコットンを取り入れ、ライニングにはレザー素材を使用。13mmのPUウェッジヒールと土踏まずのアーチサポート構造により、足に自然にフィットする履き心地を実現。また、オーソライト®インソールによって高いクッション性と通気性を誇る。機能性もアップデートされた一足に仕上がっている。
