また、FOXニュースは16日、電話インタビューの内容としてトランプ大統領が「後任の報道官を誰にするかの決定は急いでいない」と述べたと報じていました。

ザカリア氏をめぐっては、トランプ大統領が任命時に弁護士だと紹介していたものの疑問が呈され、その後、司法試験には合格していなかったことが明らかになったほか、初めての記者会見で3人の記者の質問しか受け付けず15分で打ち切ったことでメディアから不満の声が上がっていました。
