4月16日、スバルの北米法人は、新型「アウトバック」をベースとした「ウィルダネス」を、発表した。
新型アウトバック ウィルダネスは、オフロード性能を強化したモデルだ。エクステリアは、アンダーボディの保護性能を高め、フロントバンパーを変更。マットブラックのクラッディングも備わる。
特にフロントグリルは、スバルの六連星マークではなく、“SUBARU”のブランド名を刻むことで個性を高める。
足まわりは、専用の17インチアルミホイールに、オールテレインタイヤを組み合わせる。さらに、サスペンションには電子制御ダンパーを新たに採用し、快適性と走破性を向上させた。
搭載するエンジンは、ターボチャージャー付き2.4リッター水平対向ガソリン4気筒。260psの最高出力を発揮する。トランスミッションはCVTで、駆動方式はシンメトリカルAWDだ。
インテリアでは撥水性に優れた生地を使ったシートを標準装備。オプションでナッパレザーも選べる。
新型アウトバック ウィルダネスは、2026年初頭に発売開始予定だ。
