コム デ ギャルソン（COMME des GARÇONS） のフレグランスライン「コム デ ギャルソン・パルファム（COMME des GARÇONS Parfums）」より、新作フレグランス「トゥ ベチバー（TO VETIVER）」が登場。 「トゥ ベチバー（TO VETIVER）」は、コム デ ギャルソン・パルファムが大切にしてきた香料のひとつ、ベチバーを称える香りとして誕生。時間の流れの中で受け継がれてきた香りに着目し、何千年にもわたり用いられてきた素材を取り入れて構成されている。古代から現代、そして未来へと続くつながりを表現した香りは、ブラックペッパーとホワイトタイムのフレッシュなアクセントから始まり、抽出されたベチバーオイルへと移ろう。 ベチバーが香りの核として全体を支え、アンバーのウッディな温かみや、神聖な薫香として知られるオポポナックスが奥行きを与えます。ラストはムスクとミルラが全体を包み込み、調和の取れ た余韻へと導く。ベチバーはヒンドゥー教の聖典『バガヴァッド・ギーター』にも記され、ミルラはアッカドやシュメールのメソポタミア文明の記録にも登場するなど、いずれも長い歴史を持つ香料です。Christian Astuguevieille(クリスチャン・アストゥグヴィエイユ)のベチバーへの深い愛情に 着想を得て、調香師 Antoine Maisondieu(アントワーヌ・メゾンデュー)によって作られた「TO VETIVER」は、時代を超えて、感情に響く豊かな体験をもたらすフレグランスに仕立てられている。 Creative images by the photographer Jamie Hawkesworth.
