楽天、政府備蓄米の販売を完了
楽天は、5月29日に販売を開始した政府備蓄米「楽天生活応援米」1万トンについて、販売予定数量に到達したため、8月22日に販売を完了した。
楽天では、政府から随意契約で購入した備蓄米を「楽天生活応援米」として商品化。「楽天市場」で楽天が直営店舗として運営する「楽天24」と「Rakutenグルメ館」、楽天マートが運営するネットスーパー「楽天マート」の3つの販売チャネルで販売した。開始から86日間で予約販売分も含めたすべての商品の販売を完了し、発送は9月中旬をめどに完了予定。
政府備蓄米については、8月末までに販売を完了することを条件に契約が行なわれていたが、8月20日時点で出荷予定の28万トンのうち、10万トンが引き渡されていなかった。これをうけ、農林水産省は9月以降も販売が行なえるよう期限を延長。現時点で具体的な販売期限は設定されていない。
なお、備蓄米が引き渡された業者については、1カ月以内に販売を行なうことが求められている。
