絶滅危惧種 渡り鳥「コアジサシ」ことしも佐賀市に飛来
環境省の絶滅危惧種に指定されている渡り鳥の「コアジサシ」が、ことしも佐賀市に飛来しているのが確認され、日本野鳥の会 佐賀県支部が安全に巣作りができるようフェンスの補修を行いました。
「コアジサシ」は夏ごろになると南半球から日本に飛来し子育てをするカモメ科の渡り鳥で、環境省が絶滅危惧種に指定しています。
佐賀市諸富町の空き地では、5年前から「コアジサシ」が子育てを行う姿が確認されていて、ことしも今月上旬から飛来しているのが確認されました。
今月13日は、日本野鳥の会佐賀県支部の会員4人が、コアジサシの卵などがネコやイタチなどの小動物に襲われないよう、空き地を囲っているフェンスを補修する作業を行いました。
空き地では冷たい風が吹く中、コアジサシ2羽が砂地にうずくまって時折、羽繕いをしていました。
日本野鳥の会 佐賀県支部の宮原明幸支部長は「全国的にコアジサシの繁殖は厳しい状況なので、なんとかことしもここで繁殖を成功させたい」と話していました。
