ヨウジヤマモト プールオムが映画『BROTHER』の衣装を再構築したカプセルコレクションを発売
ヨウジヤマモト プールオム（Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME ）は、映画『BROTHER』の衣装を再構築したカプセルコレクションを3月25日(水)より発売する。コレクションは、北野武監督による2000年公開の映画『BROTHER』のためにヨウウジヤマモトが制作した衣装をベースに、20年以上を経た今なお色褪せることのない存在感を現代の視点から再解釈した特別なカプセルコレクションだ。
作品の中で印象を残したシルエットを受け継ぐジャケットやパンツを中心に、大胆なプリントを施したシャツやネクタイなどを展開。また、本作の衣装制作をきっかけに生まれたシルバーアクセサリーもラインナップに加わる。映画のために生み出されたこの表現は、その後も発展を続け、現在のゴシック ヨウジヤマモト（GOTHIC YOHJIYAMAMOTO）へと連なるアイコニックなクリエーションの源流のひとつとなっている。映画衣装を起点に育まれた表現を、服とシルバーアクセサリーの両面から再構成した本コレクションは、ヨウジヤマモト プールオムの普遍的な創造性をあらためて浮かび上がらせる仕上がりとなっている。 また、フォトグラファーTAKAYが撮影し、スタイリングは野口強がディレクションしたキービジュアルも注目。モデルにはEXILE AKIRAを起用し、ヨウジヤマモト プールオムが描く男の佇まいをストレートに表現している。
