医療機関の決済手数料を1.3%に引き下げ STORES
STORESは、キャッシュレス決済サービス「STORES 決済」で、医療機関向けの特別料率を開始した。対象の医療機関は、クレジットカード6ブランドとQUICPayの決済手数料を1.3%で利用できる。
単科病院を対象に、Visa、Mastercard、JCB、American Express、Diners Club、Discover、QUICPayの決済手数料を通常1.98%～から1.3%に引き下げる。総合病院や大学病院、薬局、動物病院、美容クリニックなどは対象外で、4月1日以降の申し込み分から適用する。申し込みはSTORES公式サイトで受け付ける。
経済産業省の国内指標によると、2024年のキャッシュレス決済比率は51.7%に達し、政府は30年までに65%を目指している。一方で、19床以下の診療所(クリニック)におけるクレジットカード導入率は約36%にとどまっている。
同社は、診療所では手数料の負担がキャッシュレス導入の障壁になっているとし、今回の特別料率によりその負担を軽減する。これにより、導入しやすい環境を整え、会計待ち時間の短縮や非接触決済による衛生面の向上、レジ締め作業の軽減といった医療DXの加速を見込む。
