困窮世帯の約4割 進学費用のため借金や節約 支援団体調査
物価高騰が続く中、困窮世帯のおよそ4割が、子どもの進学の費用のため借金したり食事を切り詰めたりしたと回答したことが、支援団体の調査で分かりました。
子どもの貧困対策に取り組む公益財団法人「あすのば」は、経済的に困窮し支援を行っている子育て世帯にアンケート調査を行い、813人から回答を得ました。
それによりますと、子どもの進学の費用の工面方法を複数回答で尋ねたところ、親族や銀行などから借金したという回答が40.2％、食費を切り詰めたり誕生日を我慢したりして節約したという回答が42.1％などとなりました。
特に負担を感じる費用として▽「制服」が61.6％▽「教科書や参考書」が39.6％▽「パソコンやタブレット」が33.1％などとなっていて、およそ7割が「公的な補助制度だけだと賄いきれない」と回答したということです。
国は生活保護世帯や低所得世帯の高校生を対象に授業料以外の教育費に充てる「奨学給付金」を給付していますが、およそ7割の人が「給付の時期が遅い」と回答したということです。
「あすのば」の小河光治代表理事は「物価高が長期化する中、依然、経済的に苦しい子育て世帯は厳しい状況におかれている。必要な時期に支援が届くよう制度を見直す必要がある」と話しています。
